Keisha Bass

Keisha Bass has published two works of women’s fiction with Urban Christian Books (Urban Books/ Random House). Her latest novel, Permanent Resident at the Altar, released October 2015. Keisha’s first script, At the Purse Table, is an adapted screenplay based on her first novel, Permanent Resident at the Purse Table, (February 2014). She has also published non-fiction articles in magazines and online, including sharing part of her testimony, “Heart Problems”, in Chicken Soup for the Soul: A Book of Miracles.

Keisha is a member of the Dallas Screenwriters Association (DSA), and connect member of the International Screenwriters Association (ISA). She also served for two years as the vice-president of the DFW Ready Writers, a local chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). Keisha is currently working to complete a series of screenplays in the dramatic comedy genre. A native Texan, she grew up in Houston, but now resides in Arlington, and teaches Physical Education and coaches girls’ sports in Crowley ISD. She is a member of Word of Truth Family Church in Mansfield, Texas, where she serves in the Elevate youth ministry and is a contributing devotional writer for the church’s Huddlegrams.


Keisha began serving as DSA Librarian in March 2017.
